An SMSF brings together trustees, members, accounts, investments, payments, documents and the professionals who support it. Idealx’s portal is designed to make these activities easier to understand and coordinate.
Cash, payments, account records and Console form the platform’s foundation. The investment programme has separate disclosures, providers, account permissions and activation requirements.
THE PORTAL WORKFLOW
Identity. Activity. Authority. Records.
01 / ONBOARDING
Begin with the fund’s identity
The account is established in the trustee’s appropriate capacity, with the SMSF identified in the account record. Onboarding gathers information about the fund, its trustees, ownership and control, authorised people and intended services.
This may include a trust deed and amendments, fund identifiers, trustee details, identity checks and evidence of authority. Account registration and service activation are separate steps.
02 / CASH & PAYMENTS
Bring financial activity into view
The portal connects the fund with its designated payment provider and brings together balances, payment instructions, transaction records and the status of supported activity.
Information access, preparation, approval and execution are distinct activities. Fund-specific views and payment-category checks form part of the SMSF development programme.
03 / PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATION
Work with your team through Console
Appointed accountants, advisers, administrators and other eligible professional firms access the accounts and functions covered by their client mandate.
A firm can assist with onboarding, records, statements and supported instructions within its authority. Access is controlled at firm and individual-user level; a feature appearing in Console does not expand a mandate.
04 / RECORDS & INFORMATION
A clearer account of the fund
Statements and transaction records support review by trustees and their professionals. The SMSF roadmap includes dedicated views for members, contributions, documents, reporting and fund information.
These are visibility and coordination tools. Tax preparation, audit and statutory administration remain with the appropriately appointed professionals.
INVESTMENT PATHWAYS
Three approaches. Distinct decisions.
Self-directed
Eligible trustees select supported investments and submit their own instructions through the relevant dealing service.
Client-approved strategies
A proposed basket is presented for approval. Trustees decide on the initial investment and each subsequent proposed change before implementation.
Managed investing
A separately accepted managed discretionary arrangement defines the mandate. Auto Pilot manages the agreed eligible account scope; Managed Strategies manage selected allocations. The appointed manager may transact within that mandate without approval of each transaction.
Instrument architecture
The instrument architecture covers approved shares, ETFs, government instruments, bonds, income funds, other managed-fund exposures, cash, currency and supported digital assets. Derivatives or hedging require a specifically permitted scope. Each fund’s strategy and restrictions remain relevant.
Managed Strategy concepts
Five documented concepts are Idealx Global Equities, Idealx Digital Assets, Idealx Derivatives Opportunities, Idealx Diversified Growth and Idealx Income. A strategy name does not establish availability or suitability for an SMSF.
Third-party fund access
The fund-access architecture connects eligible investors with participating fund operators. Applications go directly to the issuer, responsible entity or trustee, with interests recorded in the investor’s name or trustee capacity on the fund register.
Idealx supplies the technology workflow, document transmission, status display and payment integration. The operator controls acceptance, allotment, valuations, distributions and redemptions under its own documents.
Cash Placement
Cash Placement has separate acceptance and account particulars covering the responsible holder, legal structure, eligible balances and withdrawal terms. Under the documented default, clients receive no interest unless separately agreed in writing, and Idealx Platform retains eligible cash earnings.
Release and submission of a valid withdrawal may take up to ten Sydney Banking Days, with external payment transit additional. This is a separate arrangement rather than an interest-bearing savings-account promise.
Securities, strategies, managed investing, digital assets, third-party fund access and Cash Placement follow their own launch, provider, eligibility and account-level requirements. The full investment range is a development programme.
ATLAS & THE PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Information that supports a decision.
01
Atlas
The Atlas architecture connects information search, account explanations and supported actions. Ordinary transaction instructions require affirmative confirmation before submission.
Explanations support understanding and should be checked before a material decision.
02
Your appointed professionals
Console supports collaboration with the people chosen to advise, administer or audit the fund. Their work and professional responsibilities remain separate from the portal.
Trustees can limit or revoke authorities. A person’s login does not automatically authorise every trustee or account holder.
THE RESPONSIBILITY STAYS CLEAR
A portal around your SMSF. The fund stays yours.
Idealx’s role is the platform, records and connectivity of the selected services. It does not by itself establish an SMSF or supply tax advice, independent audit or a complete statutory fund-administration service.
SMSF trustees retain responsibility for their fund and its investment decisions, including when professionals assist them.
TMA Group is a holding group. This website provides corporate information and does not provide investment advice or invite investment. Service availability follows the relevant jurisdiction, provider and product terms. Product-status information appears on the relevant pages.
