Build over the long term
Choice, with
a long-term framework.
A super investment architecture combining lifecycle, diversified, indexed and sector choices.
Horizon’s super fund is in development. This page explains its investment architecture; membership and the described options are not yet available.

Consider life after work
The lifecycle design shown is a qualitative framework; no investment allocations or performance are illustrated.
A changing balance
through a working life.
Horizon Lifecycle is the default-investment design. Its four age stages—under 50, 50–59, 60–64 and 65+—adjust the balance between growth and defensive investments as members approach retirement.
Private-market exposure declines and currency hedging increases through the design. Default-product terms and approvals govern implementation.
Different ways
to invest for retirement.
Sustainable Growth. The design considers exclusions for thermal coal, tobacco and controversial weapons, with an energy-transition perspective. Final screening rules are established through its product disclosures.
Five wholesale trusts.
One investment architecture.
The wholesale building blocks behind the member-option architecture, with a separate institutional investment perspective.
Horizon Australian Equities Trust
An ASX 300 index-plus core, complemented by selected active small-company exposure.
Horizon Global Equities Trust
Developed and emerging-market equities, with quality and value perspectives and a hedged class.
Horizon Real Assets Trust
Listed REITs and infrastructure alongside selected unlisted Australian infrastructure, renewables, core property and agriculture.
Horizon Private Markets Trust
Buyout and growth-equity secondaries, co-investments and capped venture exposure within an evergreen design.
Horizon Income Trust
Government and semi-government bonds, hedged global bonds, investment-grade credit and private credit.
The trusts are wholesale investment building blocks within the architecture. Member investment options combine relevant building blocks and cash.

Themes within portfolios
Ageing and longevity, energy transition and digital productivity are considered within controlled investment sleeves. A theme does not define an entire retirement portfolio.
Liquidity and valuation
The design includes liquidity limits, controls on unlisted exposure and independent valuation of illiquid investments. The investment structure is assessed alongside members’ long-term needs.
Defined boundaries
The design excludes crypto-assets, pre-launch tokens and leverage at the fund or option level. Underlying investments still require assessment of their own leverage, liquidity and risks.
Retirement-income connection
Horizon Pension links investment choices with drawdown and spending needs. Horizon Lifetime separately explores a longevity component. Both follow their eventual product and provider terms.
Investment objectives and design principles do not guarantee results. Market, credit, liquidity, currency and valuation risks remain relevant to the eventual options and their underlying investments.
